Grommet Top: Grommets come in 1.6" inner diameter. We offer grommets in 4 colors, including silver, black, bronze, and gold. If you have a special request for a grommet, contact us via LiveChat or email.
Rod Pocket: The rod pocket is 2.8" in height, which fits the rod less than 1.5" in diameter. The top part is about 1.2" in height.
Pinch Pleat–Double : Pinch Pleat-Double is made with 2 times the fabric of the panel width. There is no need to double your measurement or order more fabric. Hooks are included, while rings are NOT. The distance between the 2 pleats is about 5", and the final width will be 4-8" wider than ordered to create the center overlap and end return.
Pinch Pleat–Triple : Pinch Pleat-Triple is made with 2.5 times the fabric of the panel width. There is no need to double your measuring or order more fabric. Hooks are included, while rings are NOT. The distance between the 2 pleats is about 5", and the final width will be 4-8" wider than ordered to create the center overlap and end return.
For more information about the header, please click Header Style.
The curtains are not lined by default. You can choose lining options for your custom orders.
The finished lining length is roughly 1.25" shorter than the finished length of the drapery panel, which is the industry standard.
If you have specific needs, please kindly let us know.

There is no limit on solid curtain sizes. If both the width and the length are longer than 104", we will splice the fabrics, and some vertical splicing seams may come.
The maximum length of pattern curtains is 104". If the length is longer than the maximum, we will rotate 90 degrees of the pattern.
We provide unique designs like splicing, elegant lace trim, delicate bead trim, and playful pompoms to make your curtains more fun and elevate your space. For further style design needs, please feel free to contact us.
Try to search with the term Blackout Curtains or sort it out by function to enter into the Blackout Curtains category. Our blackout curtains typically block 95%-100% of the light, even without any lining added.
With that being said, you can also add our blackout lining to the fabrics you're big on to achieve 100% blackout.
Yes, we also can make unusual curtains like door curtains for French door use or bed canopy voile. Please contact us when you have special needs, and we will assist you with the order processing.
1. For french doors, usually use double pocket voile panels. Please order the slot top header and leave a message like this: make the double pocket, the total drop = 1'' + 2'' + 50'' + 2'' + 1'' =55 inches.
1'' is the drop of the pleat above the pocket
2'' is the drop of the pocket
50'' is the distance between 2 pole
Width
The width size per panel = the width of the pole multiply 2 fullness. Usually, the 2Xfullness is enough to create a wave look when using cloth fabrics and semi-voile fabrics, but you can choose the 2.5Xfullness on thin voile fabric.
Drop
The drop is most important, the total drop = top pleats + top pocket + the distance between 2 rods + bottom pocket + bottom pleats.
The drop of the pocket should be a bit longer than the pole diameter *3.14/2 to make sure the pole can go through well.
2. For bed canopy, usually need a big pocket, please order the slot top header and leave a message like this: No top pleat, the total drop = 5'' pocket +80'' = 85 inches.
Yes, we offer up to 10 free swatches per order with just a $3.99 shipping fee. If you need more than 10, please place a new order.
Due to different printing batches and different screen brightness and resolution, the actual colour may be slightly different from the picture on the product page. Please kindly understand.
Customers with strict colour requirements can order a sample to confirm the colour before placing the order.
Gentle cycle machine washable in cold water or hand wash.
Hang dry or dry on low heat.
Wipe clean, dry clean, and do not bleach.
Steam ironing when the fabric is still damp. Some fabrics become heavier after absorbing water, so it is recommended that you use a one-piece washing machine when the curtain gets larger.
If you wish to use an iron, please turn down the temperature to avoid burning the curtains.
All lining-added curtains are recommended to dry clean or gently cycle machine wash per panel at a time.
Unlined curtains will be at higher risk of being damaged by the sun or experiencing fading over time. Curtains serve as both a fashionable and functional tool to elevate space. To that end, we recommend you choose the proper curtain lining.
Please send us a pic of the valance style you wish to support@curtarra.com. We will reply ASAP and ask you for the size and other details if needed.
If you need a special header style based on your own hardware, just send us a pic of your hardware to support@curtarra.com, and we will reply to you asap and help with the special customisation.

We offer free tiebacks in the same fabric for normal-size curtains (at least 24''W*60 ''L). Sheers and valances come without tiebacks.
The buttons are pack for tiebacks. They are removable. You can remove them by just squeezing the middle part and unplugging the back side.
Your Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, or Flat Panel orders come along with white adjustable hooks by default. You'll only need to purchase the rings or clips separately. If you prefer metal pins, please specify while checking out.
In case you need extra adjustable hooks or metal pins for spare, we offer those as well. Kindly check the Zac page to order.
The space between 2 pleats is 5". For example, if your pleat is 52" wide, please buy 12 rings.
Sure thing! Please send us an image of your pattern, and we can customize it with the digital print technique. By the way, sometimes colour doesn't translate perfectly on the computer screen. The finished fabric might look a bit different from the provided image.
Wondering how many curtain rings to snag for your pinch pleat curtains? It's all about that spacing between the pleats. At Curtarra, our pinch pleat double and triple curtains feature a 5" space between pleats. Just divide your panel width by the pleat space, add one, and voila! For example, a 25" wide panel would need 6 rings: 25/5 + 1 = 6. Easy-peasy!
Whoops, nope! Our curtains are fabulous all on their own, but curtain rings are like the perfect accessory—they're sold separately. But don't fret. You can grab them right here.
Absolutely! Our curtain rods come fully equipped with either 2 or 3 supporting brackets, depending on their drop. Shorter rods get 2, while longer ones get 3. We've got you covered!
Nope, the curtain draw rod is like the magician's draw rod—sold separately for added enchantment! We've got some nifty tips on how to work your magic with it. Check how to wield that draw rod like a pro, whether it's a eyelet top, slot top, or pinch pleat.
Attach the metal hook of the curtain draw rod to the rings that come with it, and insert the rings onto the pole at the edge of the curtain panel. Hold the draw rod firmly and slide it smoothly along the curtain pole to open or close the curtains.
Absolutely! Our bespoke curtains are track-system friendly. The pinch pleat header is your best bet for this setup.
Plus, our pinch pleat curtains come with FREE adjustable hooks or metal pins, making it a breeze to hang them on a curtain track system.
You bet! Almost all our bespoke curtains come with a FREE matching tieback, except for voile curtains.
We skip the curtain tiebacks on sheers to maintain their light, breezy look. But don't worry, if you wish a tieback for your voile curtains, just drop us an email or hit us up on LiveChat, and we'll make it your own.
Glad you asked! We carefully tailored decorative curtain tiebacks for a more sophisticated take on a whimsical tassel design, perfect for warming up any space.
Our tiebacks are designed to keep your curtains looking sleek and tidy. Simply wrap the tieback around your curtains and connect the white loops at both ends to the metal hooks. Voilà! Your curtains will sit perfectly to the side.
Adjusting the hooks is super easy. Just pull the hook down to where you wish it. Need it higher? Pull it all the way down to the bottom. The bottom is open, so you can reinsert the adjustable part into the hook for the perfect fit.
Oops! It's not recommended to add lining to voile curtains. Extra lining can make them heavier and thicker, which takes away from their airy, light appeal and lets less sunlight into the room. If you're looking for better blackout options, consider lightweight semi-voile curtains or linen curtains instead.
Yes, voile curtains come with weights on 2 hem corners.
Big and thick voile use bigger weights, and small and thin voile use smaller weights.
Curtarra offers Roman blinds (cordless, motorised, and no-drill), roller blinds (cordless and motorised), and woven wood/bamboo blinds. Each is fully bespoke-made to your exact window size, with a variety of fabrics, colors, and lining options.
Roman blinds fold into soft fabric pleats when raised, offering a warm, elegant look—but they have a larger stack back (6–18 inches). Roller blinds wrap around a tube for a minimal, modern look with a much smaller stack (2–4 inches). Choose Roman blinds for a cosy aesthetic and roller blinds for a sleek, space-saving profile.
Yes. Bespoke blinds are cut to your exact window dimensions, ensuring a perfect fit, better light control, and a polished look that off-the-shelf blinds can't match. They also offer more fabric, lining, and operating system choices.
Measure the inside width of the window frame at three points (top, middle, bottom)—use the narrowest measurement. Measure the height at three points (left, middle, right)—use the longest. Confirm the frame depth is at least 2 inches to fit the mounting brackets.
Measure the desired width, extending 1–3 inches (1/2-1 1/2 inches each side) beyond the window frame on each side for better light control. For height, measure from your desired top mounting point to the sill, adding 4–6 inches above the window opening so the headrail clears the frame.
Mark a 2–3 inch projection depth in each corner angle. Measure the center panel width between the two projection marks. For side panels, measure each window width and add overlap only to the outermost edge to ensure clearance.
Width: If you need to cover the window, use panels that are 1.5 to 3 times the width of the window for a fuller look. When the panels are opened, they have an 8-10 fullness look on the side area.
If you only need to cover a 12-24 inch space beside the window frame, consider ordering a 30-60 inch wide pleated panel or a 60-120 inch flat panel(slot top, eyelet, back tab) to get an 8-10 fullness look.
Drop: Decide whether you wish your panels to touch the floor, puddle slightly, or hover above it. Each option creates a different effect, so choose according to your desired style.
Stack back is the height the shade occupies when fully raised. Roman blinds stack 6–18 inches; roller blinds only 2–4 inches. A large stack can block light and obstruct your view. To avoid this, use an outside recess positioned high enough so the fully raised shade rests on the wall above the glass.
The top 5 mistakes are: (1) measuring only once instead of three times; (2) confusing inside vs. outside recess measurements; (3) making your own deductions instead of giving the exact opening size; (4) using a cloth tape or rounding to the nearest inch; (5) forgetting to account for headrail height and stack back. Always use a steel tape measure and measure to the nearest 1/8 inch.
Mark bracket positions with a pencil and level. Drill pilot holes (use wall anchors for drywall). Secure the mounting brackets. Snap or click the headrail into the brackets. Attach the valance if included. Test by raising and lowering the shade several times. For wide windows over 48 inches, add a center support bracket.
No-drill Roman blinds use a tension or adhesive system instead of screws, making them ideal for renters or anyone who wants a damage-free fitting. The headrail either expands to press against the window frame (tension system) or adheres to the frame top (adhesive system). They are designed for inside recess and work best on rigid frames (metal, vinyl, or concrete).
No-drill blinds work best on rigid window frames (metal, vinyl, concrete) with a front roll inside depth. They are not recommended for soft or decorative wooden frames, very large/heavy blinds, or outside recess applications. If your frame is soft or spliced wood, front roll drill-mount blinds are a better choice.
Cordless blinds use a spring-loaded roller and friction-lock system. Push the bottom rail up to raise the shade (storing spring energy); pull it down to lower it (releasing energy gradually). A friction lock holds the shade at any height without cords. The result is smooth, precise light control with no dangling strings.
Yes. All Curtarra blinds are cordless and meet the ANSI/WCMA A100.1-2018 safety front roll. Without dangling cords, there is no strangulation risk for toddlers or entanglement risk for pets. Cordless blinds are strongly recommended for nurseries, kids' rooms, and any space where children or pets are present.
Curtarra motorised blinds use a quiet built-in motor powered by a rechargeable lithium battery (one charge lasts 3–4 months). Control them via the included remote or hands-free with Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple HomePod—our motorised blinds are Matter-compatible, requiring no extra hub. One remote can control up to 5 blinds across individual channels.
No. Curtarra motorised blinds run on a rechargeable lithium battery, so no wiring or electrician is needed. Simply recharge when needed—typically every 3–4 months depending on usage.
Yes. Our motorised roller blinds and Roman blinds are Matter-compatible, meaning they connect directly to Apple HomePod, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant without an extra hub. You can control them by voice command or through your smart home app.
Lining adds privacy, precise light control (up to 100% blackout), thermal insulation (lower energy costs), UV protection for the face fabric, and a more tailored, weighted drape. The trade-off is added bulk (larger stack back) and slightly reduced natural light even with light-filtering liners.
Yes. Blackout blinds block 99%+ of light, supporting better sleep by signaling darkness to the brain. For nurseries, they help establish consistent nap and sleep schedules. For bedrooms, they eliminate early morning light and street glare. Pair with an outside recess extending 2–3 inches beyond the frame for maximum light blockage.
Fit the shade inside the window recess (inside recess) as your primary light-control layer. Then mount decorative curtains on a pole on the wall outside the recess for added texture, insulation, and style. This keeps the no-drill benefit intact while adding a designer layered look.
