Matter Smart Blinds

Matter smart blinds use a compatible motor to connect to a Matter smart-home system. Curtarra’s selected motorised roller and Roman blinds use Matter over Thread. Choose Motorised when ordering; a manual cordless version of the same product does not provide Matter connectivity.

You need a compatible Matter controller and a Thread border router. One supported device may provide both functions. Check the exact model, generation, software, and platform requirements before ordering; not every smart speaker or hub supports Thread. A front roll Wi-Fi router alone is not a substitute for this equipment.

The Matter-enabled motorised configuration can connect to supported Matter setups in Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings. Compatibility requires the appropriate controller, Thread border router, and current platform support. Available voice commands, scenes, schedules, and remote access vary by platform.

Follow the instructions supplied with your motor to enter pairing mode, then add the shade in your supported smart-home app by scanning its Matter setup code. The code is located on the shade’s headrail. Assign a room and name in the app. The motorised option also includes remote control; keep the setup code accessible for future configuration.

Matter connectivity controls the motor, not the fabric’s light-blocking performance. Choose blackout roller fabric or available blackout lining for stronger light control, solar blinds for filtered daylight, or Roman blinds for fabric-led styling. Solar weaves do not guarantee nighttime privacy. Even blackout fabric or lining can leave edge gaps, so follow the product’s measuring and mounting guide.
