FAQ
What are motorised Roman blinds?
Motorised Roman blinds are fabric window coverings with an electric lift that raises and lowers the shade. Tailored designs gather into folds, while relaxed styles have a softer lower curve. Select Motorised under lift controls when ordering; these products can also offer manual cordless configurations.
How do I operate motorised Roman blinds?
The motorised option includes remote control. Use the configured channels to adjust an individual shade or a group of blinds. Follow the setup instructions supplied with your order, and confirm any special grouping needs before shipment.
Can I connect motorised Roman blinds to my smart home?
Compatibility depends on the selected motor and the equipment in your home. Check the current connection requirements and supported platform before ordering. Do not assume every smart speaker, app, or hub works with every motor configuration.
Are motorised Roman blinds blackout?
Not automatically. Motorization changes how the shade moves, not the fabric’s light-blocking performance. Gary and Todd list 100% light-blocking fabric, while other eligible designs offer different base-fabric ratings and lining options. Select blackout lining where required and available. Light may still enter around the edges after fitting.
How do I measure, fit, and clean motorised Roman blinds?
Use the selected product’s measuring guide and motorised size limits; relaxed designs can have different limits. Allow mounting clearance and room for the raised shade, then follow the fitting, power, and motor setup instructions. Dust gently with a soft duster or soft vacuum brush. Keep liquids away from the motor, do not untie operating cords or dismantle the mechanism, and consult the fabric and lining care instructions before spot cleaning.
Tailored Roman Blinds with Motorised Ease
Bring fabric texture and convenient control to your windows with Curtarra’s bespoke motorised Roman blinds. An electric lift lets you raise or lower the shade using a remote, combining the softness of fabric with a practical alternative to manually adjusting each window.
Explore linen, cotton blends, velvet, chenille, wool blends, and decorative patterns, with exact compositions varying by product. Choose a tailored Roman style or a relaxed design with a softer lower curve. Selected trim and valance styles add another decorative option.
Select Motorised under lift controls when configuring your shade. The motorised option includes remote control, with individual or grouped operation through the supplied remote setup. Smart-home compatibility depends on the selected motor and compatible equipment; confirm current requirements before ordering.
Choose your bespoke width, drop, and available lining for the room. Motorization controls movement, not light-blocking performance. Compare the base fabric’s rating and select blackout lining where available if stronger light control is needed. Even a blackout fabric or liner can leave light gaps around an installed shade.
Follow the selected product’s measuring guide and motorised size limits, which can differ for relaxed styles. Plan mounting clearance, room for the raised shade, and access for the motor’s power requirements. Use the product-specific fitting and setup instructions.
