Semi Voile Curtains

Not really. Semi-voile white curtains and ones of other colors are designed to filter and diffuse sunlight rather than block it completely. They actually allow a significant amount of natural light to pass through while softening the intensity and reducing glare. Being only partially opaque, they offer privacy while maintaining a sense of openness.

If you require more darkness, especially for activities like sleeping or watching TV, you may need to opt for blackout curtains or room-darkening curtains.

Deciding where your semi-voile curtains fall is a personal preference.

In most cases, you can keep your semi-voile curtains slightly kissing the floor. Kissing the floor means lightly touching the floor, creating a polished look. Especially suitable for white semi-voile curtains.

There are exceptions, though. You would not like them touching the floor for semi-voile or white semi-voile curtains on the patio or porch. Leave them a few inches off the outdoor ground to avoid dust and water spots.

The answer is that you can partially see through. The term "semi-sheer" implies that the fabric is not entirely opaque, allowing diffused natural light to filter through while obscuring the view from the outside to some extent. This is in contrast to sheer curtains, which are generally more translucent.

It depends. Semi-voile curtains enjoy different levels of light filtering.

White semi-voile curtains or semi-voile curtains with lighter fabric are slightly transparent and capture vague images during the day. While semi-voile curtains made with thicker fabric, darker colour, or denser weave, are not that opaque, so people can only see from the outside rather than see through.

We recommend you opt for white lining if you wish more privacy.
