*For Roman shades, we recommend a minimum window depth of 2 inches to ensure the entire shade fits within the window frame. However, since the mounting brackets for Roman shades are relatively small in size, if you don’t mind a portion of the shade extending beyond the frame, a minimum depth of 1 1/4 inches is acceptable.

*Please note that an inside mount is designed to ensure the roller shade fits within the window frame. As a result, there may be approximately 1/4" light gaps on each side. If you’re concerned about light leakage, we recommend choosing an outside mount.

  • A method to install the shades outside your window casing.
  • Achieve a flawless look. Covering your casing aesthetically.
  • Allow minimal light to sneak in through the gaps around the edges.

*Outside mount is versatile for different window types, no minimum depth is required. Ideal for any room with shallow sashes or deep window sills.
Measurement Guide
  • Width Measurement: Measure the inside width of your window sash at the top, middle, and sill, as marked in the picture. Take the smallest measurement and deduct about 3/8" to ensure the roller shade fits inside the window frame.

    With an inside mount, there may be approximately 1/4" light gaps on each side between the shade and the window frame.

    If light leakage is a concern, consider choosing an outside mount and increasing the width for better coverage.

  • Length Measurement: Measure the inside height from your top sash at left, center, or right. Use the longest as your length.
  • Width Measurement: Measure the outside width of your window casing at the top, middle, and sill as shown. Take its largest and add an extra 3 inches for ultra light control and privacy.
  • Length Measurement: Measure your desired height and record it.

*If you prefer maximum exposure when shades are fully rolled up, please mount them 4" above the top of the outside casing.

All of our Cordless Shades feature an advanced spring system with the following advantages:

  3. Durable quality – Built to last, these shades are designed for over five years of reliable use under normal conditions.

Our Motorized Shades come with a remote control as standard. The number of remotes provided will correspond to the number of rooms in your order. Before shipment, we’ll pre-program each remote so it can control all motorized shades in a single room.

Typically, all motorized shades in one room are grouped under a single remote. Based on the number of shades, we’ll select a remote with the appropriate number of channels. Our remotes can support up to 15 channels, allowing control of up to 15 individual shades.

You can operate all shades simultaneously or select an individual channel to control a specific shade on its own.

All our remotes use Radio Frequency (RF) technology, which means they work through walls and don’t require line-of-sight.

    Blackout Lining

    • Select our Blackout Lining option for certain Roman shades to ensure maximum privacy and effective light blockage.

    • The blackout lining guarantees that no light will penetrate the shaded area. However, if you opt for an Inside Mount, a gap between the Roman shade and the window frame will naturally occur, allowing some light to filter through the gap.

      For 100% light blockage, we recommend choosing the Outside Mount option and ensuring that the Roman shade width extends at least 10 inches beyond the window frame.

    • Roman shades with blackout lining have a slightly different look compared to standard Roman shades. The image on the left showcases a Roman shade with blackout lining.

      Other than this visual distinction, the functionality and overall appearance remain the same as regular Roman shades.

    Motorized Control

    • For the 4th step of the customization, please select "Motorized" to upgrade to the motorized option.

    • Our motorized shades are powered by rechargeable lithium batteries, offering a crisp look and an effortless operation.

    • If you use a smart speaker such as Alexa or HomePod, our motorized shades can be connected directly for voice control. If you don’t have a smart speaker but would like to control your shades using your phone, simply contact our customer service team to purchase a hub device, which enables app-based control of your shades.

    • No messy cords—it comes in a sleek style, just like cordless roller shades. To recharge, plug in the Type-C charging cable. The cable is about 110" long by default. If you need a longer one, please speak with us for more details.

    • A full charge of the roller takes just 6 hours. Depending on the frequency of use, and typically lasts 3 to 6 months.

    • Seamless Setup: Each motorized shade is shipped fully charged for your convenience. Upon delivery, simply insert the battery into the remote—or remove the insulation strip if pre-installed—and your shades are ready to use. No additional programming is required.

    Excellent quality curtains & service

    The entire experience of ordering my curtains was above average. Firstly, the website is awesome... so user friendly. Most of my questions were answered there but I did contact a customer service rep to confirm the fabric and style I wanted to select. Ashley was wonderful. She answered all my questions and made some excellent suggestions based on my desired end result. The curtains are simply beautiful. Gorgeous fabric, professionally made exactly to my measurements. An added bonus, they arrived earlier than expected, and beautifully packaged with an outer waterproof wrap on the box. I could not be happier. I will not hesitate to order again.

      Love These

      I've been on the hunt for the perfect Roman shade for my daughter’s room — something that actually blocks out the light but still looks cute and not too grown-up. I finally found it with Curtarra. The blackout lining really works (she’s finally sleeping in a little longer 🙌), and the fabric is just beautiful in person. Soft, simple, but stylish. It pulled her whole room together. I’m so glad I waited and didn’t settle for something off the shelf.
