As a child, I spent countless afternoons by her side, watching her sew with patience and love. She taught me to turn simple fabrics into something meaningful—patchwork quilts, doll clothes, tote bags. More than sewing, she showed me that every stitch carries warmth, every fabric tells a story.

One Day
That simple request changed everything.
One afternoon in 2018, my neighbor Cheryl knocked on my door, frustrated. “I don’t know what to do with my windows,” she sighed. “They’re oversize bay windows, and no one can make curtains for them—at least not for a price I can afford.”
I could see her frustration. “Let me try,” I said.
I spent a week figuring it out—studying how to cut, sew, and test curtains for irregular windows. When I finally installed them, Cheryl ran her fingers over the fabric, her eyes widening. “I never thought this was possible.” --Cheryl
