What kind of hardware do I need for these ceiling curtains?
The ceiling curtains are designed specifically for use with a ceiling-mounted track system or a very close-to-ceiling pole. The pleated header style curtains come with hooks pre-installed in the header, which hook directly into the carriers or gliders on a track. The eyelet header, pocket header, or back tab header curtains hang on the pole.
What are the main uses for ceiling curtains?
Ceiling curtains are incredibly versatile and are perfect for:
Room Dividing: Creating separate zones in studios, lofts, or open-plan spaces.
Covering Large Windows/Doors: Providing a seamless look for wide glass walls or sliding doors.
Creating a Dramatic Effect: Making ceilings appear higher and adding a touch of hotel-like luxury.
Concealing Storage: Hiding open closets, laundry areas, or unsightly storage spaces.
Pinch Pleat, Euro Pleat, and Wave are the best choices. These styles use hooks that attach perfectly to the carriers in a track system, creating uniform, structured folds that glide smoothly. For the pole close to the ceiling, the eyelet header also fits. By the way, the back tab and tab top header do not fit the ceiling track.
Can these curtains be made with a blackout lining?
Yes, absolutely. You can customize your ceiling curtains with a blackout lining during the ordering process. This is ideal for creating a private sleeping area, a home theater, or for any space where you need 100% light blockage.
How do I measure for bespoke ceiling curtains?
For the width, measure the full drop of your ceiling track or pole. For the height, measure from the bottom of the ceiling track or pole down to the floor, then subtract half an inch (or 1-2 cm) to ensure the curtains hang perfectly without dragging.
