Matter smart shades use a compatible motor to connect to a Matter smart-home system. Curtarra’s selected motorized roller and Roman shades use Matter over Thread. Choose Motorized when ordering; a manual cordless version of the same product does not provide Matter connectivity.
What equipment do I need for Matter over Thread?

You need a compatible Matter controller and a Thread border router. One supported device may provide both functions. Check the exact model, generation, software, and platform requirements before ordering; not every smart speaker or hub supports Thread. A standard Wi-Fi router alone is not a substitute for this equipment.
Do these shades work with Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, and SmartThings?

The Matter-enabled motorized configuration can connect to supported Matter setups in Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and SmartThings. Compatibility requires the appropriate controller, Thread border router, and current platform support. Available voice commands, scenes, schedules, and remote access vary by platform.
How do I pair and control my Matter smart shades?

Are Matter smart shades blackout, and how should I choose a style?

Matter connectivity controls the motor, not the fabric’s light-blocking performance.
